What are different types of wood chippers?
When you are searching for the right wood chipper for your needs, you are presented with many options. You may hear terms like PTO wood chipper or 3pt wood chipper, or even wood shredder. It is important to understand the differences between these options to select the right chipper for your needs.
Our WoodMaxx PTO chippers come with several standard features that are a cut above the competitor’s models. All of our PTO chippers are self-feeding, allowing you to insert the wood into the chipper without straining or pushing. The infeed rollers grab the wood and feed it through automatically. Even larger branches are no match for our robust chippers.
In addition, our PTO chippers come with high quality steel knives already installed. These knives are made in the USA and are reversible and dual edged. Unlike some competitor models, our knives are bolted into a milled pocket in the flywheel: a design innovation unique to WoodMaxx models. Many competitor models feature knives that are merely bolted on, allowing them to break loose more easily.
All of our PTO chippers also come standard with adjustable base legs, 27 hole flywheel ventilation, and are quick-hitch ready, allowing a single operator to hitch the chipper to their tractor by simply backing the tractor in and fastening a couple of easy to use pins.
For those who use their chipper occasionally for private, non-commercial purposes, the WoodMaxx WC-8N is ideal for their needs. This chipper is designed to be robust yet economical, standing up to medium duty uses. This chipper is power-fed for easy use, yet is available at the low price that one might expect from a gravity-fed chipper.
All WoodMaxx chippers ship for free within the lower 48 states and Canada. Canadian purchasers simply pay customs fees. In addition, all of our chippers come standard with a 2-year warranty.
