The WC-8N is an economically priced, medium duty mechanical feed wood chipper for the occasional user. Though not as robust as the flagship WM-Series chippers, this machine offers a large capacity capability with a low price tag. Great for the small cleanup job, this chipper offers a great value, giving the user a power-feed chipper at a gravity-feed chipper price. The WC-8N economy wood chipper also features a horizontal infeed bin which makes loading material into it much less physically stressful than competitor's machines. Check out the WC-8N today for your medium duty and residential needs. This machine requires a minimum of 18 horsepower at the PTO.

One Impressive Chipper! June 6, 2018
Reviewer: E.J. from Holland, IA United States
Received my chipper via truck in the afternoon, started uncrating at 3pm and had it fully assembled, adjusted and lubed by 6pm. Over the weekend we used it for the first time. Hooked up to my 31hp engine - 25hp pto John Deere, this chipper is a beast. It eats 2", 3" & 4" like nothing. I tried some bigger 5", just slowing down how fast it feeds manually by watching the tach on the tractor. After running for about one hour, I just checked all the bolts and adjustments... all was good.

Well worth the money ! April 12, 2016
Reviewer: James Schultz from Quincy, IL United States
Got this last July (been busy). My hometown here had winds up to 75 mph. No tornado but you should have seen the destruction around town. Found this and ordered it on a Monday and had it on the dock by Friday.  Took me about hour to assemble it and away I went. BTW I have this mounted on the back of a 22 hp Kubota. Now, this thing will not eat 6" branches but I did put in 3" ash and pine into it and it had very little problems. Like most had mentioned here, if you hear the tractor bogging down, lighten up the feed and it does fine. My neighbor borrowed it and chewed the branches off a 75' pine trees. Being a maintenance person for 30+years, I was curious to check blades and see how much wear was on them and they looked like they were loaded with pine sap but under that they looked like new. Even checked the clearance and it had not changed. It may be the economy model but it is well worth more.

Works great! July 8, 2014
Reviewer: Dave M. from Norwalk, CT United States
I am a homeowner on a HEAVILY wooded 2-acre lot in southwestern Connecticut.  Using my 17.7hp (at the PTO) tractor, I have put 10 to 12 hours on the unit chipping seasoned branches, half-rotten branches, and green branches up to about 3 inches.  The 2370 bogs down when the PTO first engages but the chipper's flywheel quickly gets up to speed.  Once started, the flywheel inertia does the work and the tractor's engine won't bog down again.

The unit is actually a lot of fun to put together.  The instructions are fine if you are mechanically inclined and it took me about 6 hours to un-crate and assemble the chipper.  You'll need a method of lifting the heavy chipper while assembling the base.

The chipper was packaged in an angle iron crate and my machine was undamaged on delivery.

You'll likely need liftgate delivery for the heavy chipper and a method of moving it to the assembly area.

Working Great July 26, 2013
Reviewer: GERARD HOAG from BEAVER COVE, ME United States
I just wanted to let you know that the chipper is working great. I have learned to take the time to remove, clean, reverse , adjust and torque the blades and never had a problem. My wife and I love the machine and are looking at the backhoe as a future purchase. Thanks for a great product.

Great Chipper (B8200 16 hp PTO) May 20, 2013
Reviewer: Peter L. from Nelson, BC Canada
Well it was a gamble buying this chipper with an under powered tractor but I am finding that this old Kubota can handle more than expected.
Assembly was a full 7 hrs as there is more to figure out on this machine than the other chippers. The assembly manual recommends adjusting the blades and that adds a fair amount of time. I discovered that the flywheel is a little off as I wasn't able to get both blades the same distance from the bed plate. Shims might help but then that might cause a flywheel balance issue.

The key to staying within the limits of the tractor is to watch the exhaust. When clear the tractor is keeping up and when it starts getting smokey its time to back off. That is easy with the feed roller lift assist and pulling the material off the balades for a second or two. Biggest problem are with the trees with lots of pitch. Since most of the stuff being chipped is 2" it is clear sailing.

This is only week 2 and so far its going great.
